  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Start the oven at 350 degrees. Stir all the dry ingredients together. Then cream the butter and sugar, beat in the egg and vanilla and gradually add these into the dry mixture. Roll this mixture into rounded spoonfuls that you can place onto the baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, then you can decorate these as you please.
